The top 10 sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite (2021)
Here are the top 10 sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite. If you see a player wearing any of these, it might be best to avoid them at all costs.
Last year, we completed a list of the top-ten sweatiest skins in the game. Many of those skins have retained their “sweaty” status, but we’ve seen a lot of Item Shop updates since then.
As most players know, a Fortnite sweat isn’t only distinguishable by their skin. Their pickaxe and back bling also tell a story, which is why we’re opening this list to include additional sweaty Fortnite cosmetics.
As we said, a lot of the skins from last year are still drenched in sweat, and you’ll see a lot of them on this list. However, as players evolve and more skins are released, we will continue to update this list with the sweatiest of skins. Here are the top 10 sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite.
Recon Expert
In our first article, we listed the “OG Skins” as some of the sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite. Let’s be real. A lot of the sweatiest players today weren’t playing when Renegade Raider and Black Knight were available. However, the “recent” release of a certain OG Skin has a lot of sweaty players pretending they were playing in 2017.

The Recon Expert was a rare skin, but new sweats were given the opportunity to purchase it after its re-release. Unlike Ghoul Trooper or Skull Trooper, OG owners weren’t given an exclusive style. Now, it’s impossible to discern an OG sweat from a wannabe.
Pink Ghoul Trooper
This is an OG skin that has stood the test of time for many reasons. While original owners of the Skull Trooper and Ghoul Trooper were given exclusive styles, the Pink Ghoul Trooper is the only skin sweaty players still use.
For one, it proves that they were around during the early days of Fortnite. And two, it’s a female skin which many pro players prefer. It isn’t used in competitive play because of its vibrant colors, but sweaty players will show their dominance wearing the Pink Ghoul Trooper in Pubs.
Banner Brigade may have overtaken the Soccer skins in terms of the sweatiest set in Fortnite. They offer substantial value for their price – only 800 V-Bucks with the ability to customize the style – but seem to be dominated by those at the top level.
We aren’t seeing as many Banner Brigade skins as we were last year, but the two back bling options are still very common. It’s easy to understand why. These are the only cosmetics that make your Banner mean something, and the customization options make them a good value.
Soccer Skins
Speaking of Soccer Skins, you didn’t really think they wouldn’t be on the list did you? These are iconic skins for sweaty players. Mainly younger players who had to coax their parents into buying them V-Bucks so they could buy their own customizable skin.
They aren’t nearly as popular now as many other skins on this list. That being said, you know you’re in for a fight if you see one. A sweat who continues to wear their soccer skin probably spends more time in creative courses than the actual game, and they are ready to taste blood.
Studded Axe
The Studded Axe is one of the sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite due to its competitive advantage. This bad boy barely makes a sound when it’s harvesting mats, and its sleek design makes it harder to see.
It’s also in the Item Shop quite frequently, so wannabe pro-players have the opportunity to purchase it every month or so. There are other axes that are just as quiet but harder to obtain. That’s why you’ll run into a lot of sweaty players running the Studded Axe
Star Wand
Speaking of sweaty harvesting tools, the Star Wand is by far the sweatiest pickaxe in Fortnite. Why? We have no idea. A handful of pros use it. It makes minimal noise when swung. But it isn’t all that rare.
However, its sweatiness is undeniable. It’s a well-known meme in the Fortnite community that the Star Wand is used exclusively by sweats. Maybe players are hoping that the wand will be bugged again to deal 75 damage per swing. That likely won’t happen, but that won’t stop sweaty players from hoping
Sparkplug
Sparkplug, like a lot of skins on this list, is the skin of a Creative Warrior. It’s not as common as some of the others on the list, but it’s sweaty, nonetheless.

In my experience, a Sparkplug skin is often the real deal. You have a lot of pretenders wearing Soccer skins and Star Wands, but Sparkplug skins are killers; more often than not.
Aura
Aura was one of those skins that you knew would be ‘sweaty,’ and it didn’t disappoint. For some reason, Aura became the primary skin of several pro-Fortnite players and sweats across the world.
Why is this skin so sweaty? It’s hard to tell. All we know is that an Aura either means business or thinks that they’re better than they are.
Scarlet Commander
A new competitor for sweatiest skin in Fortnite has entered the chat, and their name is the Scarlet Commander. Go ahead and open Twitch right now or during a tournament. I guarantee one of the top Fortnite streamers is currently using this skin.
And it’s pretty obvious why. Since a certain skin that we will talk about next has been banned from comp, players are looking for a new skin that will give them an advantage. The Scarlet Commander is almost completely black with a few dark red accents and minimally exposed flesh. In dark areas and at night, Scarlet Commander is near invisible.
Superhero Skins
Against all odds, the superhero skins have become the sweatiest skins in the game. Even the male variants are usually worn by skilled players, which is rare.
The reason these skins were the sweatiest was because of the all-black and all-white styles. The superhero skins have been banned altogether in competitive play, but they still run rampant in pubs.
Before the ban, nearly every player in a competitive tourney was sporting one of these skins. It was all-black which was banned last year. After that ban, players switched to all-white. And now they aren’t allowed in comp play at all.
So, there you have it: the ten sweatiest cosmetics in Fortnite. It will be interesting to see which skins, pickaxes, back bling, and even gliders take over the throne over the course of the next year.
We’re sure that we missed a few cosmetics, as we only limited our list to ten. Let us know what we skipped on Twitter @FortniteINTEL.
