PSG want BOTH Ronaldo & Mbappe in attack for next season
The Parisian club have put in significant effort towards strengthening their squad this summer – and they might not be done just yet.
Paris Saint-Germain are still planning on signing Cristiano Ronaldo but not as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe as they want both players in their attack, as per Tuttomercatoweb.
Age is barely having any negative effect on Ronaldo’s hunger for scoring goals, evident from the fact that he scooped up the Euro 2020 Golden Boot. The 36-year-old was also a standout performer for Juventus last term, netting 36 times through 44 appearances.
Although there’s no denying he’s an indispensable figure in the Juventus squad, the Serie A side are struggling to afford his wages in times of financial crisis and are supposedly considering planning the next season without him.
Now, Paris Saint-Germain are one of the very few clubs that can afford the superstar footballer, and they reportedly intend to do so.
The Tuttomercatoweb report adds that Ronaldo is also keen on relocating to the French capital.
PSG, who have enjoyed unparalleled domestic success in recent years but have been bereft of Champions League glory, are assembling a squad that can dominate European football.
The Parisian club have already added Euro 2020 Player of the Tournament Gianluigi Donnarumma, one of the best full-backs in the world Achraf Hakimi, and Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos to their ranks this summer.
