The sun is shining and what better way for a mum to spend it than meeting up with her girlfriends and taking their children out for a day of fun in the sun.
And that’s exactly what Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lydia Bright did.
The two ex-TOWIE pals decided to go on a mummy day date together along with their one year old children, Roman, Lucy’s son, and Loretta, Lydia’s daughter.
Lucy, 29, posted a string of pictures on her Instagram stories documenting the day out in Essex, which first started with a spot of lunch.
The two besties were full of smiles and looked beautiful in their summery outfits; Lydia wearing a red and white check gingham dress paired with a straw hat, while Lucy donned a black and yellow off the shoulder floral top.

They tucked into a healthy looking lunch of chicken, avocado and mixed bean stew, while their babies also enjoyed a falafel, avocado, spinach and sweetcorn wrap.
In a video Lucy posted on her stories Roman could be seen particularly enjoying his wrap as he scooped some up in his fist before carefully placing it into his mouth.

He’d clearly worked up an appetite, as straight after he’d finished his wrap he then devoured a piece of blueberry cake, to which one of Lucy’s followers had asked: “is there anything you give Roman that he DOESN’T eat?” to which the mum replied: “Nope,” followed by two laughing emojis.
Just like Lucy and Lydia, Roman and Loretta, who were both born last year, seem to becoming the best of friends. Although in one picture he didn’t look too pleased when Loretta reached out to touch his hair.

After food the two mum’s headed for the park with Roman and Loretta in their prams side by side.
Once they got there it was time for a push on the swings and both Roman and Loretta looked adorable as the swung side by side, to which Lucy added a sticker to the picture which said: “Besties”.
The baby besties looked super cute as they smiled on the swings in their little dungarees.

Lydia, who gave birth to Loretta last February, has also been enjoying some quality mummy daughter time alone.
Last week the blonde beauty and Loretta took a trip to the coast of Kent and stayed in a camping pod for a couple of nights and enjoyed a day trip to the beach.
Taking to her Instagram she wrote: “Am I the only one not desperate to go abroad? I have loved staycationing and exploring our little island. Granted we don’t always have the weather, but we have so much beauty.
