Carol Vorderman has given a glimpse inside her idyllic staycation in Wales as she made the most of the scorching temperatures.

The 60 year old, who recently showed off her stunning hourglass figure in a mirror selfie, appeared to be at one with nature as she shared snaps of paddle boarding and kayaking to her 114,000 Instagram followers.

Mum-of-two Carol, who grew up in North Wales, described how she was “living the dream” as she got to grips with the watersports.

Carol looked every inch the natural beauty as she posed in a wetsuit with her brunette locks in loose waves for the excursion.

The former Countdown star was seen paddling around the harbour and described how she was “absolutely hooked” on the activity after giving it a go for the first time.

She penned: “Living the dream…..first time paddle boarding today. Absolutely hooked now. We kicked off at 7am…high tide in the harbour #Wales #WithMyMates…went around the headland….just the most perfect piece of paradise. Stopped on a desolate beach and back hours later for breakfast

“So be warned when you come and stay, I’ve bought TWO blow up boards from @fatstickboards and you’re coming with me.”

Meanwhile Carol was eager to have a go at another form of water sport and shared a selfie, captioned: “Ummmm… what shall we do next????I know.”

The brunette beauty was seen paddling in a kayak on the serene water before sharing a stunning snap of the sunset, captioned: “Nanight from Wales… sweet dreams.”

It comes after Carol explained that she simply can’t believe she’s been hosting The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, for 22 years.

The TV personality said she feels as though she’s in her 20s, despite what her birth certificate states and has “got the greatest sense of freedom that I’ve ever had”.

Presenter Carol is now looking forward to the next chapter of her life as she said: “I was a good daughter to my mum until she died in 2017, and I’ve looked after my kids, Katie, 29, and 24-year-old Cameron, as a single parent, and they’re happy. So it’s like… what shall I do now?”

Speaking about her career, she continued: “And next year it will be 40 years since Countdown started.

“But I’m not that bothered about being on the telly any more. I worked my butt off last year and I don’t want to do it any more.”

Carol kept herself busy during the series of lockdowns that plagued the country amid the ongoing pandemic by filming a “couple of new TV shows and books” as well as new scenes for The Maths Factor.
